- Abdominal and groin exam; locate lump vs pubic tubercle.
- Define strangulated femoral hernia with SBO features.
- Resuscitate: NBM, IV fluids, NG, antibiotics, urgent surgery.
- Explicitly avoid taxis.
- Outline approaches (McEvedy if resection likely) and bowel viability check.

Common errors
